William Hayward (politician) : ウィキペディア英語版 | William Hayward (politician) William Hayward (1868 – 5 June 1943) was a member of the New Zealand Legislative Council from 22 June 1934 to 21 June 1941, when his term ended. He was appointed by the United/Reform Coalition Government. He was from Christchurch, where he established an undertaking business which still exists (Lamb & Hayward Ltd).〔(【引用サイトリンク】url= http://www.lambandhayward.co.nz/history )〕 He was chairman of the Christchurch Tramway Board, chairman of the Canterbury Employers' Association, and chairman of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association. A good athlete in his youth, his interest changed to trotting later on. He was a member of the New Zealand Trotting Association, held governance roles in the New Zealand Trotting Association, and was a breeder of horses.
